Infrastructure investment since the establishment of Hainan as a province totals
over £¤245 billion. A round-the-island expressway network has made transporta
-tion efficient and reliable, linking the northern and southern parts. Two internat
-ional airports, the Haikou Meilan and Sanya Phoenix, accommodate over 70 na
-tional and international destinations. The newly completed Yuehai Railway Ferry connecting Hainan and Guangdong is the only train ferry in China.
